What material is used for the injection moulding screw barrel?

The injection moulding screw barrel is typically made from high-strength, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant materials to ensure long service life and stable performance. The most commonly used materials include: 

1. Nitrided Steel (38CrMoAlA); 2. Bimetallic Alloy (Base Material + Hard Alloy Coating); 3. High-Speed Tool Steel (SKD61, H13, D2, etc.);4. Stainless Steel (304, 316, etc.)

For most standard applications, nitrided steel is enough. But for high-wear or high-corrosion environments, bimetallic alloy screw barrels are the best choice due to their extended lifespan and better performance.
